LOC Destructions Presents: Vive Le Monkey II: Primal Bliss
This is the first in a series of annual, large-scale performance art pieces staged at various locations across the country attempting to explore the disconnect between the contemporary social culture and the natural world. For the Vive Le Monkey piece, several participants dressed in full-body gorilla costumes and staged movement demonstrations in public and private settings across the city of Chicago, IL. The collective social performances were documented on 8mm film and a digital video recreation was created to serve as an archived installation of the event.
